Sillage [noun]: the drifting, air-diffused trail of scent left behind by a person wearing perfume.
The name came first. And everything else followed.
Sillage is a French perfumery term for the trail of scent a person leaves behind as they move through a room. It's the invisible impression, the thing people remember long after you've gone.
That single idea became the entire foundation of the brand. Not the perfume itself, but what it leaves behind.
From that concept, a world was built. The visual direction was rooted in a feeling, the warmth of a dusty summer evening somewhere sun-scorched and unhurried. Heat you can almost smell. That feeling became the brief.
The palette tells the story directly, terracotta and burnt sienna as the dominant warmth, deep burgundy for depth and richness, muted olive as a dusty earthy counterpoint, and soft blush stone to ground it all. Every colour was chosen to evoke heat, texture and the specific kind of beauty that only exists in warm, ancient places.
The typography is fluid and feminine, a flowing serif wordmark that feels considered and artisan, the kind of lettering you might find pressed into handmade packaging.
The art direction leans into skin, warmth, golden light and movement, a woman leaving a room, the trail of something sensory lingering long after she's gone.
A perfume is not just a scent. It's the impression you leave behind.
